. Your replies to any surveys or questionnaires, such as your reviews on the Experiences you have shared with other members of our community. Such information may be used for analytic & user understanding purposes;

. Information we may require from you when you report a problem with our Platforms or our service, such as the subject of your request for support;

. Location information when you have given consent to the collection and processing of these data;

. Passport, ID Card and such other documents that you have agreed to provide to us.

 

What Information do we collect automatically ?

. If you sign up via social media authentication methods, West Indies Trips will access certain Personal Data (e.g. first name, surname, picture, email, number of Facebook friends, etc.) in your social media account pursuant to the applicable terms and conditions of these social media platforms.

. With regard to each of your visits to our Platforms we may collect, in accordance with applicable laws and where required with your consent, information relating to the devices you use and the networks you are connected to when using our services. This may include the following information: your IP address, log-in information, browser type and version, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform, advertising identifier, information about your visit including the URL clickstream to, through and from our Platforms, products you viewed or searched for, download errors, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction and any phone number used to call our customer service number. We collect this information through the use of various technologies including cookies.

We also collect aggregated information regarding your activity on our Platform (such as the amount of Experiences offered, your message response rate, etc.). Such information may be published on your public profile on our Platform.

 

What about Data retention?

Except regarding the categories of Personal Data mentioned in clauses 2.3.2 and 2.3.3 below, your Personal Data will be stored for the duration of your relationship with us and then put beyond use:

5 years after your last use of our Platform, if you did not close your account;

1 year after the closing of your account, except if you received a negative rating or report, in which case your Personal Data is stored for either (i) a 2-year period following the latest negative rating or report, or (ii) 1 year after the closing of your account, whichever is longer.

.The following categories of Personal Data may be stored for different durations:

Financial data (e.g. payments, reimbursements, etc.) is stored for the duration required by applicable tax and accounting laws;

All user-generated content (e.g. comments and ratings) is anonymised but remains available on our Platforms.

In the event that your account is suspended or blocked, we will keep your data for a period of between 2 and 10 years in order to prevent you from circumventing the rules applying to our Platforms.


What happens to your Personal Data after membership termination?

Upon request from you (by writing to us at: Soualiga Solutions SAS - 88, rue des Fontaines 31300 Toulouse France) we will deactivate your account in a month and render your personal information unusable as soon as reasonably possible, in accordance with applicable law.

We do archive personal information from closed accounts in accordance with rules applicable to the protection of your data only in order to comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud, collect any fees remaining due , resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, enforce our terms and conditions, and take other actions otherwise permitted by law.

 

 Does West Indies Trips share your data with third parties?

West Indies Trips will only share your Personal Data with third parties if this is legally required and/or if West Indies Trips has your express permission to do it.

West Indies Trips is entitled to share Personal Data with its own service providers notably to carry out services and actions by order and for West Indies Trips, like for example to let the software run on the platform of remote servers, carry out and settle up payment processes for offered products or services, carry out technical checks to validate on the Website the good condition of vehicles or outsource certain Customer Relation and Claim Management actions.

West Indies Trips shall be entitled to process and use the User’s log data that are automatically collected (Server Log-files) for the purpose of identifying, delimiting and removing malfunctions and errors in the telecommunication systems. If the requirements are met, West Indies Trips may use log data that are necessary to uncover any unlawful use of the telecommunication systems and services. In accordance with prevailing legal provisions, West Indies Trips may be required to provide information to criminal prosecution authorities and courts for prosecution purposes. Pursuant to the European regulation, the law applicable to the protection of the personal data is the one of the EU country where the data controller is established. As West Indies Trips is based in France, the French Data Protection Act (Loi Informatique et Libertés) will govern the processing of personal information we collect.

How we use and moderate your messages?

West Indies Trips might read the messages exchanged through the Website between members for fraud prevention purposes, to improve the Service, for user support purposes or verification of respect by our users of our Terms and Conditions. For example, to avoid that a member bypasses our online booking system, West  Indies Trips automatically monitors and analyzes the messages exchanged on our platform to ensure they do not contain any reference to or words linked to another way of booking.

As often as possible, we use automated systems to process moderating the messages sent between members via the Website.

 We will never read any communication between members of our community for promotional or advertising targeting.
